Synopsis
Imagine you have a two-year-old child who is severely brain damaged, terminally ill and clearly in great pain and distress. As much as you would long for your child to live, you might prefer to put him out of his misery rather than to see him endure a "living death" as a "tortured living
corpse".But by law this is not allowed. Not anywhere in the world. In Great-Britain there has been wide public debate on the quality of life of severely disabled children. Several parents are fighting for the right to euthanasia. There is an alternative. Zoe´s place (Liverpool), Britain´s first baby hospice and registered charity offers free palliative care to (some of them) terminally ill babies under four years old. It is unique in the world.Talking to the Angels focuses both on life at Zoe´s and the tough daily life of two couples with a brain damaged child.
