For one year Leonardo Di Costanzo has filmed students and teachers life in a secondary school at Naples suburbs. The public school is the only sign of the State presence in a sort of no men’s land, where public spirit has disapeared. Teachers’ job is not only to teach, but above all to educate, which is harder and not always recognised by the society. Here, teachers’ primary difficulty is persuading students to remain at school. This film is a declaration of love for these boys and girls who live in these difficulties, for teachers’ work and for public school.
