Synopsis
The Inuit of Canada´s High Arctic have hunted polar bear for thousands of years. They still rely on the polar bear today, only in some communities, its no longer the bear´s meat and fur that sustain the people - it is the money earned by auctioning off the right to hunt these animals.
Filmmaker Josh Freed joins one of these hunting expeditions across the starkly beautiful Arctic landscape. POLAR BEAR SAFARI is a modern, transformational adventure, a tribute to the mystery and power of the polar bear, and a glimpse at the complex decisions indigenous peoples are forced to make in order to survive in a changing world.
