Synopsis
Welcome to life in a company town. The residents of Shay Gap in Western Australia work for the local mine, which is the only reason that the community exists. The town and everything in it has been built or supplied by the corporation–locals even have to register their visitors.
The site is hot and remote but the planners have been in to ensure that people feel cool and comfortable. There are still problems, however, as these young families struggle to give themselves a future and live a "normal" life thousands of miles from suburbia.
