Synopsis
Australian foreign correspondent Murray Sayles travels 7000 miles to ride the last Trans-Canadian train. As a chapter of Canadian history draws to a close, the voyage takes Sayles from the bright lights of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, to remote rural backyards and ancient grounds. Sayles comes to discover what unites Canadian people, their determination to find a distinct place , and a vast cultural tapestry.
