Synopsis
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” remains one of the world´s best-loved fairy tales. Children love it, and last year, it almost came true. In the Elizabeth Concert Hall in Antwerp, the seven dwarfs could be seen in the flesh. They came from the UK to perform in the musical for nine weeks. It made them into stars. The day after the last show, we followed them on their plane back to London. Jason Macintosh is married and has two children. His wife is as small as he is. One of their children is a dwarf too. They are able to cope with everyday life, but Jason has known dwarfs who were unable to accept their lot and ended up committing suicide. Jason Tomkins takes us on a visit to his friends. One of them, together with five other dwarfs, has established a sort of dwarfs´ Chippendale troupe. Another friend is building Jason a powerful motorbike. Jason Tomkins is also a weightlifter. Life is certainly no fairy tale for these dwarfs, but it´s no hell either. This report shows how people with a severe handicap can enjoy life to the full.
