Synopsis
The Tokyo Fish Market is the world´s largest wholesale fish and seafood market, handling over 2,000 tons of seafood per day imported from 60 countries. Inside the hall, this huge amount of incoming merchandise is whisked around by electric carts. Buyers roam the labyrinth of stalls, while workers haul, saw, carve and chop the products for retail. The film symbolically focuses attention on the human work and the inherent violence that drives it.
