Synopsis
In 1994, Canadian and American icebreakers headed north on a unique Arctic expedition. It was the first time North American ships made it to the North Pole, also the first ever trip of its kind to the least explored region on the planet - the North American side of the Arctic Ocean. Seventy prestigious scientists investigated pressing environmental issues. Award-winning science writer Wayne Grady conveys his passion for the Arctic, transforming floating laboratories into platforms of discovery.
