IT was clear that Chris Reitsma (born December 31, 1977 in Minneapolis and raised in in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) was destined for a life in baseball at a very young age- In 1996 he became the highest ranked Canadian ever selected in the Major League draft. He had become Canada´s most talented exports. A right-handed relief pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization, he made his Major League debut on April 1, 2001, with the Cincinnati Reds.
