Fate and talent are inextricably entwined with one another in the Hemingway family. This documentary film investigates what this tragic legacy means for the children and grandchildren of Ernest Hemingway and what role it plays in their lives. John Hemingway, the author’s grandson, now lives in Italy. The film accompanies him on a journey to the sites of this incredible family story. John finally wants to understand his family and the life of his grandfather. And he also hopes to fathom and comprehend the fate of his father, Greg Hemingway. The beloved son of Ernest Hemingway became a prosperous doctor. Five years ago he died under mysterious circumstances. Was this a continuation of the dark family secret?
