    Synopsis
    Star of the West is a Galway hooker, a traditional timber built gaff-rigged sailing craft from the West of Ireland. Beyond My Shore traces the story of the Galway hooker through the eyes of 30 year old boat builder and fisherman Michael McDonagh, as he and six other crew members set sail on an 850 mile voyage from Dublin to the Hebrides and back to the home of this craft in Conamara
