From powerful grizzlies to majestic polar bears and shy pandas – bears are totally fascinating! Wildlife film expert Andreas Kieling has probably spent more time with bears than anyone else and, together with his son Erik, he goes on an expedition to Alaska. The two of them get a close-up look at some huge brown bears in the wild. On the Yukon, they watch some grizzlies catching salmon. Meanwhile, biologist Frank-Uwe Michler is busy tracking down some raccoons. These little bears with their ringed tails are also very hard to spot, because they sleep all day in their nests. Frank wants to catch a raccoon so that he can examine it – will he be successful?
