Synopsis
With the collapse of traditional industry, more than 120,000 of the original inhabitants of Dublin have been dispersed to outlying suburbs over the past 30 years. This film looks at those who remain in the markets area of Dublin to create a picture of a city struggling to survive. It is
about people who live on the fringes of the legitimate economy, carrying on traditions that have endured in Europe since medieval times.
